CAUSES OF ROOT CANAL COMPLICATIONS

Root canal complications happen when the pulp, the soft tissue inside the root canal, becomes inflamed or infected. The inflammation or infection can be caused by; deep decay repeated dental procedures on the tooth or a crack or chip in the tooth. In addition, an injury to a tooth may cause pulp damage even if the tooth has no visible chips or cracks. If pulp inflammation or infection is left untreated, it can cause pain or lead to an abscess.

Root Canal Therapy

WHAT IS IT AND WHEN IS IT NEEDED?

Also called endodontics, root canal treatment is a set of practices performed to treat complications of the soft pulp or the nerve issue inside your tooth. Although people think that it is a painful treatment, in most cases this procedure is no more uncomfortable than getting a filling (we have actually had people fall asleep during RCT treatment before) and it is actually one of the most effective ways of alleviating the pain.
